Advanced Vehicle Operations & Preparedness
Advanced Vehicle Operations and Preparedness (AVOP) is designed for families who want more than basic supervised driving time. AVOP provides structured driving support for eligible Colorado permit holders who have completed the required pre-permit steps and are working toward their supervised driving-hour requirement.
This program helps students build confidence, judgment, and real-world readiness through guided driving sessions focused on defensive driving, crash avoidance, Colorado weather conditions, night driving, road-law reinforcement, and safe decision-making behind the wheel.
AVOP is especially helpful for families with busy schedules, parents who are uncomfortable supervising early driving hours, students who need additional confidence, or families who want their teen’s required driving time to be more structured and meaningful.
AVOP is not currently a Colorado Certified Commercial Driving School and does not provide pre-permit driver education, DMV testing, or state-approved behind-the-wheel certification. Students must already be legally eligible to drive with a valid instruction permit and proper parent/guardian authorization.
This is not just 50 hours of driving. This is 50 hours of safer habits, better judgment, and practical preparation for Colorado roads.
AVOP is not a Colorado Certified Commercial Driving School and does not provide state-approved driver education, pre-permit instruction, DMV testing, permit testing, or behind-the-wheel certification. AVOP provides structured supervised driving support only for eligible permit holders and families who have completed the required pre-permit steps. Parents and legal guardians remain responsible for confirming their student’s eligibility, permit status, insurance coverage, legal requirements, and final DMV licensing documentation.
